Dear Sir,
i am facing one prob about the svrmgrl as below.
Oracle 8i on win NT platform
c:>set ORACLE_SID=TEST
c:>svrmgrl
SVRMGR>connect internal
Password:<uhdud>
connected
SVRMGR>startup
ORA-01031 insufficient privileges
SVRMGR>
i am unable to start the database. pls help me.

Hi,
Please check the following:
1) Do you see any errors in your database's ALERT.LOG file?
2) Does your Windows user belong to the ORA_DBA group?
