To whom it may concern:
i tried to import a .dmp file into my database and the following error messages were returned:
Export file created by export : V08.01.07 via coinventional path.
Import done in WE8IS08859P1 character set and WE8IS08859P1 NCHAR character set.
IMP - 00069 - Could not convert to environment national character set's handle.
IMP - 00000 - Import terminated unsuccessfully.
Kindly assist on how to resolve this.

Hi,
The import utility is telling you that it cannot
convert from WE8IS08859P1 to whatever is specified
(or assumed) by your NLS_LANG environment variable.
Ensure you use a valid value for NLS_LANG.
Here are some values you can try -
Unix/Linus Systems:
export NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1
export NLS_LANG=.US7ASCII
export NLS_LANG=American_America.US7ASCII
Etc.
Windows Systems:
Set the above values in the registry.
