Hi gurus,

I'm trying to install the sql*loader from oracle9i utilities onto oracle8.0.4 client on solaris system, but not sure about the compatibility. Please advice. Thanks a lot.

Nope.
you cannot just install a tool like that.
you can install a new oracle 9i client and make use of it.
